EVERYONE PRESENT TODAY IS ON A JOURNEY FOR THE AGES

4 Secrets Jesus Revealed to Keep You and I From Getting Lost

You can enter true life only through the narrow gate. The gate to hell is very wide, and there is plenty of room on the road that leads there. Many people go that way. But the gate that opens the way to true life is narrow. And the road that leads there is hard to follow. Only a few people find it.” Be careful of false prophets. They come to you and look gentle like sheep. But they are really dangerous like wolves... “Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter God’s kingdom. The only people who will enter are those who do what my father in heaven wants.”

Matthew 7:13-15, 21 (ERV)

1. THE EASY ROAD ISN’T ALWAYS THE RIGHT ROAD. v. 13, 14a

2. GETTING LOST IS A REAL POSSIBILITY. v. 14b

3. NOT ALL DIRECTIONS ARE GOOD DIRECTIONS. v.15

I trust Jesus because of the evidence.

  • Evidence found in scripture.

  • Evidence found in history.

"I am not crazy, most excellent Festus," Paul replied. "What I am saying is true and reasonable. The king is familiar with these things. So I can speak openly to him. I am certain he knows everything that has been going on. After all, it was not done in secret.

Acts 26:25, 26 (NIrV)

I trust Jesus because of the road He traveled for me.

  • The road from heaven to earth.

  • The road from Jerusalem to Golgotha.

4. GETTING MY DIRECTION IS USELESS UNLESS YOU FOLLOW MY DIRECTION. v. 21

It is in the plan that all men die once. After that, they will stand before God and be judged.
