ESSENTIAL 1: THE HUMILITY PART

  • Humility is acknowledging “I can’t do it without God!”

WHY HUMILITY? BECAUSE…


1. Humility leads me to turn to God.


In his suffering Manasseh became humble, turned to the LORD his God, and begged him for help. 2 Chronicles 33:12 (TEV)


Because he is proud, that evil person doesn't turn to the LORD. There is no room for God in any of his thoughts. Psalms 10:4 (NIrV)


2. Humility leads me to learn from God.


He shows those who are humble how to do right, and he teaches them his ways.

Psalms 25:9 (NCV)


He humbled you by letting you go hungry… He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.
